It shines like milk in the moonlit night. This temple is also one of the seven wonders of India. This temple is located in Amritsar, Punjab, which is the most important pilgrimage center of Sikhism. This Gurudwara is one of the oldest Gurudwaras in Sikhism. This Gurudwara is situated in the middle of a lake. Due to the outer part of the Gurudwara being made of gold, it is known as ‘Golden Temple’. This temple is known by the name of “Darbar Sahib”. This temple is famous all over the world by the name of Shravanabelagola which is located in Karnataka. It is one of the major religious places for the people of Jainism. A huge monolithic statue of Gommateshwar is located in this temple which was carved out of a large white stone in 883 AD. One has to climb 618 steps to reach this idol. Now you can guess how this idol must have been made of stone and how it would have stood at such a height. The height of this idol is about 60 feet. This temple is famous all over the world. This temple is also called the religious temple of Jainism. Lakhs of devotees visit this temple every year.

3. Nalanda University, Bihar

Nalanda University located in Nalanda district of Bihar is one of the seven wonders of India. Nalanda University was established in the 5th century. It is believed to be the oldest university in history. Where once in history 2000 teachers used to study 10,000 students. Not only from India but people from China, Japan, Korea, Tibet, Mongolia, Iran, Indonesia used to come here to get education. Nalanda University was a thriving university from 500 to 1300.

After this it was destroyed three times by the invaders. Out of which it was repaired twice but the third time it was not able to be repaired. So it was left as it is after some repairs. It is said that there were so many books in the library of this university that it took many years to burn it but still it could not burn completely. It is said that about 90 lakh manuscripts and thousands of books were kept in its library. The library of Nalanda University was of 9 storeys which was divided into three parts. Today this university looks like a ruin but still tourists visit this university every year.

4. Hampi, Karnataka

It is located in the Indian state of Karnataka. It was the capital of Vijayanagara in the medieval period. Today the city is visible only in the form of ruins. Seeing these ruins, it is realized how developed the civilization was at that time. This city has been included in UNESCO World Heritage.

This temple is located in Karnataka which is also known as Black Pagoda. This temple was built in the 13th century. This temple is one of the largest temples in India. However, with the passage of time this temple is losing its original form. It is a sun temple dedicated to Lord Surya. This temple is also included in the UNESCO World Heritage.

In the beginning of this temple, sculptures of animals like lions and elephants are seen. The special structure of this temple is that it is indicated by seven horses carrying the sky.
