Hair

Spending time in the pool also reduces the moisturizer of your hair. Because of this, you should wet your hair and then apply conditioner before swimming. If you find it too much, then you can massage your hair with coconut oil and it will keep your hair hydrated. Apart from this, do not forget the swimming cap as it protects your hair from direct contact with water.

Skin

Whether you are swimming during the day or in the evening, you should always apply SPF to your skin and not miss it. You should apply waterproof sunscreen 15 minutes before going to the pool. Although we cannot prevent dryness caused by chlorine, if you go to the pool after applying a thick moisturizer over sunscreen, it acts as a barrier between the skin and the chlorine.

Post Swim Care

Skin

When you leave the pool, you should take a shower immediately so that the chlorine on your body is removed immediately. Use a mild cleanser to remove chlorine from your body. Be sure to apply moisturizer after shower. This time it is good if you apply more moisturizer. Keep in mind that you apply moisturizer all over your body and pay more attention to the thinner parts of the skin such as eyes, elbows and cuticles. After that again apply moisturizer on your skin.

Nail Care

Regular exposure to chlorine can cause brittle and damage to your nails. To take extra care of them, avoid acetone nail enamel remover. Massage your nails with olive oil so that your nails are protected. Just follow these steps and your hair and skin will stay healthy even after being exposed to chlorine.

Hair

It is better that you use a clarifying shampoo as it balances your pH level. Do not scrub your scalp too much as it can cause irritation. After this wash the hair thoroughly with clean water and finally apply leave-in conditioner.
