Modi government is going to provide employment to 15 thousand people

The Central Government has approved the Cold Chain Scheme and the Backward and Forward Link Scheme to provide employment to the youth of the country and increase the income of the farmers. The scheme will benefit millions of farmers. Along with this, 15 thousand people will also get employment. Along with this, a new investment of Rs 443 crore is planned through this scheme. This was informed at a meeting of the Inter-Ministerial Approval Committee chaired by Union Food Processing Industries Minister Narendra Singh Tomer.

Union Minister Narendrasinh Tomar said in the meeting that 21 projects have been sanctioned under the cold chain scheme with grants of Rs 443 crore and Rs 189 crore. The scheme will benefit farmers, consumers and youth in states like Andhra Pradesh, Gujarat, Himachal, Jammu and Kashmir, Kerala, Nagaland, Punjab, Telangana, Uttarakhand and Uttar Pradesh.

What is the purpose of Cold Chain Scheme?

The objective of the cold chain scheme is to provide integrated cold chain and maintenance infrastructure facilities from the farm to the customer without any hindrance. The Ministry of Food Processing has informed the Ministry of Food Processing about this by tweeting. The tweet said the projects would benefit about 2 lakh farmers and provide employment to about 12,600 people. All these projects are from 10 states of the country – Andhra Pradesh, Gujarat, Himachal Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir, Kerala, Nagaland, Punjab, Telangana, Uttarakhand and Uttar Pradesh.

Backward and Forward Link Scheme In addition, the government has approved 8 proposals under the Backward and Forward Business Scheme at a cost of Rs. 62 crore and with a grant of Rs. 15 crore. What is a backward and forward link scheme? Must be made available. In addition, eight proposals have been approved in the scheme. It is from Maharashtra, Gujarat, Punjab, Uttarakhand, Himachal Pradesh and Tamil Nadu. Their approval will benefit the farmers of the states by becoming infrastructural facilities.

Apart from this, farmers will get cold storage facility near destroyed crops.  There will also be a transport facility to transport these products from cold storage to the market. In addition, a retail outlet facility will be available for the sale of the products, eight of which have been approved, providing employment to about 2,500 people in the region.
