Also, on Makar Sankranti, after meditating on their ancestors, they are also given Taparna. After worshiping the members of the house, taking out turmeric, salt, rice, sesame, jaggery, potato and other grains directly and donate it to the poor. Oil bath is also considered of special importance on this day. On this day salvation is attained by donating pure ghee and blankets. Lava, chuda, mudhi and millet are also mixed with jaggery to make laddus. In Bihar, there is a tradition of eating curd, chuda and jaggery in the morning on this day. Then dal and rice khichdi is cooked in the night. The scientific fact of eating sesame and jaggery during this festival is that the taste of jaggery is hot.
